Bleasby Open Gardens
This event is resting for 2018
Sorry, but Bleasby Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Bleasby Village, near Southwell, Nottinghamshire
Sunday 11th June 2017
1.00pm to 6.00pm
A number of gardens will open, two of them being new to this event. We also hope that you will be able to enjoy an established wildflower meadow, though the very late spring might spoil our plans for this.
The new parish orchard in the Glebe Field is in its infancy but visitors might enjoy a look round when they call in at the Glebe Field for refreshments.
Whatever your gardening interests there will be something to admire - meticulously maintained smaller gardens, intricate topiary, wild gardening (where native and self-sown plants fight for space in borders), herbaceous borders full of early summer colour, ponds, greenhouses, vegetables, fruit, wildflowers and even livestock.
There will be a children's quiz, the church will be open and there will be a small display of local history and a book stall.
All proceeds to our village hall and chuch.
Plant sales: Plant stall near car park. Plant creche service available.
Cost: £5.00 adults, accompanied children free.
How to get event passports: Buy tickets from the stall at the car park or at any garden.
