Marsden Open Gardens

This event ran in 2017 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.

 approx 11 gardens opened Marsden, west of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Sunday 16th July 2017
1.00pm to 6.00pm

A range of gardens will be open, with three new openers, and including a garden reclaimed from wasteland, a lovely hillside garden complete with folly, a communal garden/allotment and a tiny plot crammed with plants, herbs and bushes.

This is a hilly village with splendid views - you may need to use your car for the hills. Light refreshments available along the way. Plenty of village cafes and pubs if you arrive early. Look out for the red and green balloons at each garden.

All proceeds for St Bartholomew's Church, Marsden.

Plant sales:  Some gardens may have plants for sale.

Cost:  3.00 per adult, accompanied children free.

How to get event passports:  Entry by route plan available on the day from St. Bartholomew's Church, Church Lane, most of the participating gardens, or 'Enjoy Art' @ 12 Peel Street, Marsden from 11.00am.

Directions:  Marsden is 7 miles west of Huddersfield, along the A62. Postcode is for the centre of the village. Plenty of signage on the day.
