Returning to the list of Open Gardens in Hampshire, the village of Longstock will be making available some privately owned gardens, some of which have never previously been seen by members of the public.

Two of the gardens are tended by retired professional gardeners from Longstock Park Nursery and one is to NGS standard. Some gardens are on sloping sites and illustrate what can be achieved when faced with difficult ground conditions. Come and see for yourself.

The village allotment holders will also be showing off their expertise and the church will be open and decorated with floral arrangements.

Teas will be available in the Village Hall on both afternoons. Free transport within the village will be via the local community bus.

All proceeds to St Mary's Church, Longstock.

Cost:  Adults 6.00, children 5 - 16 years 3.00, under 5s free. Tickets cover both days.

How to get event passports:  Programmes/tickets will be available for sale at the Village Hall, at one of the designated car parks, and at open garden gates.
