Benington Garden Festival

Benington is a beautiful village in East Hertfordshire where an annual Patronal Flower Festival in the historic parish church of St Peters has been held for over 50 years. In recent years a number of village gardens have also been open to the public.
There will be a free mini-bus to transport people along the Benington Mile from one end of the village to the other. There will be refreshments in the Village Hall and in one of the open gardens in Hebing End, and a Caribbean BBQ at The Bell.
Benington Lordship Gardens will also be open, a separate entrance fee applies.
All proceeds will go to St. Peter's Church, Benington.
Plant sales: There will be plant sales at various gardens.
Cost: £5.00 adults, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get event passports: You can buy entry tickets/garden guides from any of the gardens or the Village Hall.
Number of gardens: Approximately 11 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.

Directions: We are located near Stevenage in Hertfordshire, north east of London.
Benington is located four miles east of Stevenage. Tourist signs for Benington Lordship are posted off the A602 between Stevenage and Hertford and the A507 between Buntingford and Baldock.
Coaches - Leave A1M at Stevenage south exit (junction 7). Take A602 towards Hertford. At the roundabout after Bragbury End take the road into the village of Watton-at-Stone (also signposted Benington Lordship). In Watton-at-Stone turn left and follow the tourist signs.
By Rail - nearby stations at Sevenage, Watton-at-Stone, Knebworth and Hertford North.
