Etwall Open Gardens
This event rested in 2017 so we don't have any recent event details. When we get updated information, we'll add it here, but in the meantime we include below event information from a previous year to remind you about the event.
Etwall, near Mickleover, Derbyshire
Sunday 5th July 2015
1.00pm to 5.00pm
Behind Etwall's walls and fences, there's a real treat in store. You'll see gardens of all shapes, sizes, ages and styles - and gardens that have never been open to the public before.
The historic village of Etwall dates from the 7th Century AD and even has a mention in the Domesday Book. It may be best known for its Well Dressing event, which takes place each 3rd weekend in May, but it also deserves recognition for its lovely gardens.
We'll be offering tea and cakes, the chance to buy plants and produce and even win a prize in our raffle. And for those interested in delving deeper into our history, there will be the opportunity to tour a 16th Century home in the heart of the village.
The proceeds of this event go to a great cause, our village primary school, which is raising funds to develop a wildlife area.
Cost: £3.00 each, 11 years and under free.
How to get event passports: From the village green or participating gardens.
