Olney, north of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Olney is an attractive market town with many interesting listed buildings within its conservation area. There will be a varied selection of gardens open along with the gardens of St Joseph's Convent, the community allotments, and the historic gardens of The Cowper and Newton Museum. The flower garden of the museum contains mainly plants which were in this country prior to 1800, the year of Cowper's death. There will also be an opportunity to see the summerhouse where the poet did his writing, and the Victorian vegetable garden.
The town gardens will be enhanced by a Capella singing group, an artist, lace makers, and a gardening expert on hand to answer queries.
Homemade cakes and refreshments will be available in the museum courtyard. A raffle, with mainly horticultural prizes, will also take place.
