Newport Open Gardens
This event is resting for 2018
Sorry, but Newport Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Sunday 25th June 2017
11.00am to 4.30pm
Newport's Through the Garden Gate event is your chance to peek behind the gates of some interesting town and countryside local gardens and allotments.
Our event includes two new gardens, having never been open to the public before, which offer up their secrets, while some popular favourites will delight us once more. All are unique, some offering historical features, some with ponds and streams and all offering inspiration and ideas.
The gardeners will be there to offer tips and advice, with some offering refreshments, raffles, plant sales and other fund raising activities.
All proceeds go to Newport in Bloom to help raise funds for the floral displays in the town.
Plant sales: Plant sales at some gardens.
Cost: £4.50 adults, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get event passports: In advance from: The Guildhall Tea Room, High Street, Newport; Hey Judes, Music Shop, Stafford Street, Newport. On the day from: Newport Cottage Care Centre, Upper Bar, Newport; and any of the gardens.
