Austrey Open Gardens
Austrey, near Tamworth and Twycross, Warwickshire
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June 2017
11.00am to 5.00pm
A gentle stroll, a breath of fresh air, a wealth of inspiration, a chat with like-minded gardeners. Hooray - it will soon be Open Gardens weekend in the quiet rural village of Austrey.
Tucked away at the very tip of North Warwickshire, Austrey is a village of only 400 houses, but with a wealth of history and many listed buildings. From the splendour of the 13th century Parish Church, to the coziness of the 15th century timber-framed and thatched village pub, right down to the traditional red phone box! With local walks and friendly faces, the village itself is well worth a visit in its own right.
Whether you like your gardens big or small, quirky, modern, or traditional, there really is something for everyone. There will also be tabletop sales, refreshments, displays and even a beer and sausage festival at the pub. So a great day out can be expected by all our visitors.
Proceeds to St Nicholas Church, Austrey Baptist Chapel, Austrey Village Hall, AGS.
Plant sales: Plant sales at various gardens.
