Sheepscombe Open gardens with Fairy Door Hunt
Sheepscombe, near Stroud, Gloucestershire
Sunday 17th June 2018
2.00pm to 5.00pm
Our village offers diverse gardens, most of them open for the first time to the public, with Fairy Doors hidden along the way, all set in the beautiful context of the Cotswold hills in this area of outstanding natural beauty.
Come to see how our villagers enjoy gorgeous valley views from their very diverse gardens. Our gardens this year are scattered around the main (peaceful) village over a walk of about a mile. Enjoy our living gardens - lovely flower beds, a range of vegetable gardens feeding various mouths - including wildlife, an artist's cottage garden, a potter's vegetable garden where you can meet a couple of his horses, and even a children's area set in a lovely garden with a valley view. One thing in common is our love of our gardens and the village context.
Families are most welcome, not least those with children. Come join our Fairy Door Hunt, with fairies made by our school children, and tucked away by our gardeners.
We also offer cream teas, and a pottery sale in our potter's garden.
All the proceeds will go to our village school - Sheepscombe School.
Plant sales: Plant sale at the village hall.
Cost: £5.00 adults, accompanied children free, £1.00 per Fairy Door Hunt sheet.
How to get event passports: Fromn the Village Hall.

Directions: If coming from the A 417, turn off at Birdlip and take the B4070. After nearly 4 miles from Birdlip, turn right at the signpost for Sheepscombe to find your way to the main village and our village hall.
If you are coming from Stroud, go up the B4070 for about 5 miles (past Slad) until you reach a multiple turning labelled Bulls Cross; take the fork left signed to Sheepscombe and follow the signs - it is quite wiggly and there is a little fork to the left, after about a couple of miles, signed Butcher's Arms. Take that turn down to the village.
Location: Gloucestershire. Use Sat Nav postcode: GL6 7RQ (please verify before travelling)
