Flowton in Flower
This event is resting for 2020
Sorry, but Flowton in Flower isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Flowton, near Ipswich, Suffolk
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2019
12.00noon to 5.00pm.
Our tiny Suffolk village - in the middle of nowhere but only a short distance from Ipswich - is opening its gardens for the first time in four years.
As well as a range of very different gardens to visit, there will be some exciting displays and other events to keep the whole family happy. These include a display of military vehicles, demonstrations of the egg production and packing process, vintage tractors and a local history exhibition. Flowton's delightful 13th century church will also host a colourful Flower Festival from 11.00am on the theme of Nursery Rhymes.
Refreshments, lunches and cream teas will be available throughout the weekend.
Proceeds will go to help maintain St Mary's Church, Flowton, and to FIND (Families in Need), our local Ipswich food and furniture bank which provides crucial support to many local families and individuals in need.
Plant sales: There will be plants for sale from Shrubland Park Nursery at the church and also at a couple of gardens.
Cost: £5.00 for adults, accompanied under 16s free.
How to get event passports: Tickets can be purchased on the day from the church or from some of the gardens that will be open.
