Gargrave Open Gardens
This event ran in 2017 but we don't yet have this year's details. When we get them, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from last year to remind you about the event.
Gargrave, northwest of Skipton, Yorkshire
Saturday 10th June 2017
11.00am to 5.00pm
Come and discover the great variety of Gargrave's garden gems, with live music (more than 50 performers) in gardens and other venues throughout this beautiful Yorkshire Dales village.
All Gargrave Gardens are within walking distance of each other. There are a further two in Bell Busk, a couple of miles away, one of which is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
Adding to the live multi-sensory mix will be Alpasta the Alpaca, a mini-donkey, pigmy goat and rabbits in and around the Dalesman Café, with a mass sing of All Things Bright and Beautiful there at 11.00am. Other performances also through the day.
A summerhouse installation of wheel-thrown bud vases and small plates will be in a canalside garden, and also an Automata exhibition at the Art Depot on Asquith Ind Estate.
Refreshments, lunches and teas available in Gargrave Village Hall. Children's quiz sheets plus tombola also available in Village Hall. Sorry, no dogs please.
Proceeds to St Andrew's Church.
Plant sales: Plant stall at the Village Hall.
Cost: £4.00 in advance or £5.00 on the day per adult; accompanied children free.
How to get event passports: In advance from late May from Twin Locks Garden Centre and Gargrave & Malhamdale Community Library; on the day from Gargrave Village Hall.
