This event is resting for 2019 Sorry, but Stebbing Village Open Gardens and Scarecrow Trail isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event
Stebbing Village, near Great Dunmow, Essex Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June 2018 12.00noon to 6.00pm
It is said that "If a 16th century Stebbing Yeoman were to walk from the parish church of St Mary's down the high street today, much would be familiar to him".
Join us and take a walk through our beautiful ancient village and visit our gardens, including three with intriguing use of water. From the bijoux to large open landscapes, the gardens provide a wide variety of styles, sizes and inspiration for the enthusiastic gardener.
Spot the scarecrows as you amble through the village - some in gardens, some hiding - waiting to be found. A variety of shapes and sizes will greet you and on Sunday, the Scarecrows will be paraded and judged in the Church Field.
Come and join in the fun and visit the Craft Fair, Art Show and Local History Display. Together with plant sales and of course scrummy homemade refreshments the weekend will offer something for everyone to enjoy. Free hop-on-hop-off minibus.
Why not stay into Saturday evening and enjoy our live music, BBQ and bar.
All proceeds to the building fund for St Mary's Church.
