Sorry, but Forncett Open Gardens isn't running this year. We'll keep you posted about next year's event details when they are known, but in the meantime we include below details from a previous year to remind you about the event

 approx 8 gardens opened Forncett, southwest of Norwich, Norfolk
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024
10.00am to 4.00pm

Mature and developing gardens will be open.

Forncett consists of three parts: Forncett St. Peter, Forncett St. Mary and Forncett End, set in the Norfolk countryside, some ten miles South West of Norwich, with a mix of old and new properties. The villages are well spaced and you will probably find cycling or driving most convenient as you move from garden to garden.

Refreshments will be available.

Proceeds:  Proceeds to the Friends of St. Peter’s Church Fund.

Plant sales:  There will be plants for sale.

Cost:  £5.00 per adult, accompanied children free.

How to get tickets / programmes:  Buy programme on the day from Chestnut Cottage, Long Stratton Road, Forncett End, or in advance from the organiser.

Toilet Facilities:  Toilets are available at this event.

Directions / Parking:  B1113 from Norwich: turn left just south of Tacolneston at 'The Jolly Farmers' - follow Long Stratton Road for about quarter of a mile and Chestnut Cottage is on your right. Parking is available at the two properties on the left.

A140 from Norwich, turn right in Long Stratton along Swan Lane (just after pedestrian crossing lights) to Forncett - follow the road for about 3 miles as it twists and turns through the countryside, passing St Peter’s church at a sharp right hand bend. Continue to follow the road for about a mile into Forncett End and Chestnut Cottage is on the left, immediately after a sharp right hand bend, with parking at properties on the right.

Roadworks are expected over this weekend, but we are assured that all roads will be passable for access. Parking is available at each of the gardens.
