Tibshelf Open Gardens

 approx 16 gardens open Tibshelf, near Alfreton, Derbyshire
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2026
10.30am to 4.30pm

A mix of wonderful gardens taking part this year including the scenic Tibshelf Ponds area located as part of the Silverhill trail.

Once again, this year the Church is the central hub of the event. Enjoy refreshments here and take a look at the exhibitions, stalls and entertainment.

Across at the Tibshelf village Hall, the Chesterfield Art Group have a free exhibition running in partnership with the Open gardens event.

Proceeds:  All proceeds go to the upkeep and maintenance of St. John's Church to enable its continued operation as a community asset.

Plant sales:  Sales of locally grown plants are available at the Church.

Cost:  £5.00 per adult, covers both days, accompanied children free.

How to get tickets / programmes:  Buy your entry wristband at the Church.

Number of gardens:  Approximately 16 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.

Directions / Parking:  Parking is available at the Village Hall, High street, Staffa Health Waverley Street, RS fitness(after 12.00noon), High Street Five Pits Trail off Back Lane and Tibshelf Ponds. Also plenty of on-street parking. See the map on our Facebook page. Limited mobility parking only at the Five Senses office car park, High Street, just a short walk to the church.
