Letcombe Bassett Open Gardens event has delighted visitors for many years now. We are excited to open this year and once again share our beautiful village with you.
Meander around the wonderful, varied gardens in this downland village. Experience Letcombe Brook at its finest as it flows through a number of the gardens and stop to cheer on a duck in the renowned Bassett duck race. See where Jonathan Swift and Thomas Hardy gained inspiration in a village steeped in history. The beautiful 12th Century church, St. Michael and All Angels, will be open to visitors, bedecked with flowers and offering a warm welcome to all.
We offer you our heartfelt greetings and look forward to sharing a unique insight to the place we call home.
During your visit, take a well earned break for tea and cake in the village hall.
Proceeds: All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the Village Hall and Church.
Plant sales: Plants grown by villagers will be available to purchase.
Cost: £5.00 per adult, under 16s free.
How to get tickets / programmes: Tickets on the day from the car park, village hall or any garden.
