Bampton Hidden Gardens

Bampton is a small town in Mid Devon and it contains many lovely gardens hidden away from general view, down alleyways and behind walls.

A huge range of gardens will be open - from small courtyards to large landscaped areas, neatly crimped to wild. Many have seats for people to sit awhile, chat and relax.

This is a popular event, with residents as well as visitors to the town being welcomed into these attractive spaces.

The town has plenty of cafes, pubs and shops in which to find refreshment, so please visit us and make a day (or two) of it.

Proceeds:  All proceeds will go to providing plants and maintaining the tubs, troughs and community garden and seating areas around the town.

Plant sales:  One or two of the gardens will have plants on sale.

Cost:  £6.00 adults, covers both days, accompanied under 16s free.

How to get tickets / programmes:  On the day from the Riverside Hall; in advance from Bampton Fresh shop on Brook Street.

Number of gardens:  Approximately 27 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.

Directions / Parking:  Parking is to be found in car parks in Station Road, and Brook Street, as well as along Brook Street, Castle Street and Briton Street. Riverside Hall is on Bridge Terrace off Briton Street next to the river Batherm.
