Emley Open Gardens
Emley, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024 10.00am to 5.00pm
Come and visit some of the most beautiful private gardens in the Yorkshire countryside. Emley is a compact village and most of the gardens are just a short walk from St. Michael's church.
We have something for everyone: wildlife-friendly gardens, spectacular herbaceous borders, colourful bedding schemes, rose gardens, water features, a knot garden and much more. Talk to our gardeners and be inspired to take some new ideas home with you.
To add to the atmosphere, Emley Brass Band will be playing outside church on Sunday and there will be live music in some of the gardens too.
Home-made refreshments, craft sale, book stall. Many gardens are wheelchair accessible and most are dog friendly.
Due to a 3.00pm football match in the village on Saturday, parking after 1.00pm may be problematic. Our Saturday visitors are strongly recommended to arrive early. The four outlying gardens should be unaffected.
Proceeds Proceeds in aid of St. Michael's church, Emley.
Plant sales Quality plants at bargain prices at one of the gardens.
Cost £6.00 on the day, £5.00 in advance, accompanied under 16s free.
