Croft-on-Tees Open Gardens
Croft-on-Tees, near Darlington, North Yorkshire Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June 2025 10.30am to 5.00pm
We are once again opening our village gardens, in the childhood village home of Lewis Carroll, for 25 years. The village gardens range from the smallest patch, cottage gardens, riverside gardens with beautiful views to large halls.
There will be a Lewis Carroll exhibition in the Church - see the Cheshire Cat inspiration here.
Enjoy a food and drink break at the Village Hall.
All of our gardeners look forward to you enjoying your visit. We hope it will be a 'wonderland' experience. Dogs on leads are welcome.
Proceeds All proceeds will support the work of St. Peter's Church, Croft-on-Tees.
Plant sales There will be plant sales in some individual gardens with gardeners willing to give advice.
Cost £7.00 per day adults, accompanied under 15s free.
How to get tickets / programmes On the day from Croft-on-Tees Village Hall - cards and cash accepted.
Number of gardens Approximately 18 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.

Directions / Parking From Darlington, along A167 Croft Road, enter the village over the River Tees bridge past the Croft Hotel, then take the 1st right just 50 yards to the signposted car park field. From Northallerton, take the A167 to Croft-on-Tees, enter the village and take the 1st left for 50 yards to the signposted car park field.
If Walking, Meet at the Village Hall to purchase garden tickets, the Village hall is on South Parade, on your left, just 50 yards past St Peter's Church.
Disabled parking spaces are available at the Village Hall, South Parade and also some designated spaces on the car park field.
Toilet Facilities Toilets are available at this event.
