Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July 2025
2.00pm to 5.00pm
Beautiful gardens and the allotments in Duxford will be opening their gates. All of them are lovely, and really worth a visit, and some of them don’t open their gates very often.
In our village, we all garden on similar soil and we share the same weather conditions, and so you might expect that what grows in one garden will also do well in another. And so it is mostly the case, but a bit of know-how, often timing and luck as well, can make all the difference. Every gardener has their own way of doing things, and the generous green-fingered folk of Duxford will be on hand to answer your questions if they can.
Concealed in some of the gardens will be a trail of clues and questions. Find them all, solve the riddles and win a reward.
Even if gardening isn’t your thing, the sight of a well managed beautiful garden is something to lift the spirits. Be inspired perhaps to grow a few of your own vegetables and herbs, and visit a pond or two.
Some of the gardens are a haven for wildlife, others may have interesting woodland, or maybe even a maze.

Proceeds
All proceeds will go towards St. Peter’s Raise the Roof Fund.
Plant sales
There will be plants for sale in various locations, all grown in the village.
Cost
£6.00 adults, accompanied children free.
