We invite you to enjoy a summer afternoon exploring a wonderful variety of gardens in one of North Bedfordshire’s most attractive villages.
Set beside the River Great Ouse, Stevington is known for its historic character, beautiful countryside, and strong community spirit, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed and inspiring Open Gardens event.
Visitors will be able to wander at their own pace between a range of participating gardens, each with its own personality and charm. Some will be colourful cottage-style gardens, some more informal and nature-friendly, and others will showcase creative ideas for gardening in ways that support wildlife, biodiversity and resilience to changing weather conditions.
Whether you are a keen gardener, interested in wildlife, or simply looking for a delightful village day out, there will be plenty to enjoy.
The Church Room will be the hub for the event, where visitors can collect maps and information. As you explore the village, you will discover not only lovely gardens but also the character of Stevington itself, with its attractive stone buildings, historic church and welcoming atmosphere.
Refreshments will be available.
Proceeds
Proceeds will support the work of The Friends of St. Mary’s Church, Stevington, helping to sustain an important village asset for the whole community.
Cost
£6.00 per person, children aged 12 and under free, visitors under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
