Harleston Open Gardens Weekend
 | Please note This event has not run for a couple of years or more. If the event runs again and we get details, we'll add them, but in the meantime we include below event information from a previous year to remind you about the event. |
Harleston, between Diss and Bungay, Norfolk Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2019 11.00am to 4.00pm
Harleston is a charming little market town on the Norfolk/Suffolk border with many historic buildings and attractive independent shops.
Following a rest in 2018 the town will again be opening its gardens to visitors from far and near. We expect at least 25 residents and local organisations to take part, including some gardens that will be open for the first time. Many will be displaying artworks and plants for sale, and visitors will enjoy searching out the decorated swifts (popular residents in the town's roofs) created by local artists and children.
A delightful restored 1950 Bristol L5G single-decker bus, which used to ply the Harleston to Norwich route, will provide a free hop-on and hop-off service on both days to help visitors reach all the gardens. Timetables will be posted at bus stops.
Delicious lunches and light refreshments will be available from many locations in town.
All proceeds to Harleston's Future to help pay for community events.
Plant sales At some of the participating gardens.
Cost £3.00 adult, £5.00 for family ticket.
How to get event passports The Card and Party Shop, Robinsons Traditional Stationers, The Apiary Cafe and Coffee House.
